n March 9, 2009 Captain Kevin Gray, a 22 year veteran of the Chicago Fire Department, assigned to Rescue 3, Engine Company 9 stationed at O'Hare International Airport, tragically lost his life in a traffic accident while on his way home from the fire station.

Kevin was a devoted husband and loving father. He served as a role model to the younger members of the Chicago Fire Department, friends of his children and the parish he served. Kevin is survived by his wife Mindy and their four children Nick, Alex, Barry and Katie. Kevin's friends, family members, fellow parishoners of St. Catherine Parish and fellow members of the Chicago Fire Department are planning a benefit to honor Kevin and raise funds to provide for his children's future education.

Kevin's loss is hard to understand but our ability to help his children secure their future educational benefits is an easy decision...one which Kevin would be thankful and appreciative of.

All proceed will benefit the Gray Children's Education Fund.
